Helsinki, Finland
Finland’s capital is one of the snowiest cities in Europe during the winter months, and the temperatures are not for the faint of heart.
But if you brave the cold, you’ll be rewarded with sights of snow-capped cathedrals, and ships crashing through the frozen baltic sea along the harbour. You can even skate on it, or go ice fishing, if you’re so inclined.

With just 131,000 residents, Innsbruck is one of the smallest cities on this list. Although you’ll find this number increases in winter, many visitors opt to stay in the ski resorts around the town, rather than in the city centre itself.
There are so many different slopes to explore around Innsbruck, making it the perfect destination for skiers and snowboarders. Plus, you get the added benefit of easy access to Austrian beer, and plenty of Wiener schnitzel. Just note that 5G coverage is a little bit limited, except on main roads in downtown Innsbruck.
